Welcome to the AC Bailey National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Is anyone else as excited as I am?! I love National Scrapbooking Day in general, and being involved in hosting something with AC Bailey is even better! The members of our Design Team have a fun and informative "hop" planned for you today, and not only are you going to be completely inspired, you're also going to have a chance to win different things!

Now I'm sure you're ready to get started, so here's how it's going to work:

* You're going to 'hop' from blog to blog and read the posts and tutorials from our fabulous Design Team Members.

* At each blog, you should leave comments to show that you visited the blog, learn techniques, get tips, bookmark things that are interesting, etc. Remember, each blog owner will choose one lucky winner from everyone who leaves a comment that day!

* Then you will pick 3 (THREE) or more of these tips or techniques and create a layout.

* You will upload your layout and post it to the ACB NSD folder in our gallery.

* One winner will be drawn to win the Grand Prize (pictured below)!

Rules for Participation:

1) If you are NOT already registered for the AC Bailey Forum and Gallery, you will have to register for each of them separately.
-- If you need to register for the Forum, click here
* Go all the way to the bottom of the page and you will see "Register." Click, follow the instructions and you're on your way!

-- If you need to register for the Gallery, click here
* On the right, about halfway down the page, you will see a box entitled "Registered User." At the bottom is a link that says "Register." Just click, follow the instructions, and you will be registered.

-- Click here for other helpful hints about navigating the AC Bailey Forum

3) All layouts MUST be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, May 3, 2009. Winners will be announced Monday, May 4th, at Noon.

4) Once your layout is in the Gallery, you then need to visit the AC Bailey Community Forum thread entitled "Scrapbook Stimulus Challenge" and you will find the National Scrapbooking Day thread within it. Post your opinions (good or bad, we love constructive criticism!), thoughts about the hop, or anything else that you would like to share!

That's it! It's all about YOU--do as little or as much as you like, learn something, create something, win something... the possibilities are almost endless!

Just in case we encounter any technical difficulties, this is the order of the blog hop with direct links to the blogs, although each designer will have instructions on what to do next for you there!

Becky - ribbon flowers
Dee - using paint on your projects/layouts
Connie - layering with fiskar border punches
Jess - Create your own journaling tags using scraps
Emma - Featuring Dimensional Pearls, how to doodle with them, use them for bling or write with them.
Gail - Featuring American Crafts' THICKERS; how to use them as well as a challenge
Lisa - How to make your own unique embellishments using paper, flowers and buttons.
Leah - Making hand made flowers from her "brothers" layout in March.
Gin - Making your own buttons to match your layout using Glossy Accents, recycled chipboard/cardboard and more.
Elisabeth - Distressing techniques/tricks

Elizabeth's post will be the last one and you will then be directed to Forum where you can talk about your experience! And don't forget to post your layouts--we can't wait to see what you come up with!

So have fun, be creative and enjoy National Scrapbooking Day!
